Are you a passionate and committed young physicist well versed in soft matter physics, experimental physics or active matter? Effective immediately, the Morin Lab at Leiden University is seeking a PhD student in Experimental Active Matter. The candidate will be involved in frontier research on establishing the fundamental laws of out-of-equilibrium emergent dynamics such as active liquids and active crystals.
Selection criteria
An academic (research) MSc degree* in a relevant field, ideally with experience in soft matter and/or active matter.
Experience with programming and data analysis, in a language such as Python or Matlab
Excellent writing skills and proficiency of the English language
Able to work independently and in a team
An academic, creative and curious mindset
